Business Conduct and Ethics

ภาษาไทย

Ethical Decision Making

Every day, we make decisions, big and small, that collectively can have a significant impact on our business results and reputation. When faced with a difficult situation, we ask ourselves the questions below (We expect the same of our contractors).

The four "yes" answers are required to qualify an action as ethical and in step with Chevron's values

  1. Is it legal?
  2. Is it consistent with company policy?
  3. Is it consistent with The Chevron Way?
  4. Would I be comfortable if it were made public?

Requirements – Our Expectations of Our Contractors

1. Ethical Interactions with Government Officials

Engaging stakeholders ethically is a key to our success. As such, we expect our contractors to exercise propriety when interacting with local government officials. Meals, entertainment and gifts may be given to foreign officials only if they are of modest value, are lawful per local and U.S. law, and conform to normal social amenities in the official’s country.

2. Ethical Interactions with Chevron Employees

Our policy is to purchase and contract on the basis of quality, service and price. Gifts, entertainment, trips, discounts, loans or other favors of more than a modest value, should not be offered to our employees, as our policy prohibits their acceptance.

3. Reporting Suspected Violations

In support of Chevron's strong commitment to compliance, the Company maintains a Hotline so employees and contractors can report activities that may involve violations of law, including possible criminal conduct, violations of Chevron's Business Conduct & Ethics Code or Company policies. Should you suspect improper activities, please report them by calling 001-800-11-007-5466.
